While Hingis/Stosur is mouth watering in terms of quality...I must vote for Jankovic/Ivanovic for all of the intangibles involved.

Re: Which Quater Final is the Best Match Up?

Ai vs Maria
I expect it to be a very close match. Maybe not high quality, but close... Sharapova's always tough, and Sugiyama I think found her rythm in Tokyo (finally) and I think she'll be pumped by the Japan ambience!!

Hantuchova/Sugiyama def. (1) Black/Huber 6-7(0) 6-3 7-6(10) saving SEVEN match points, down 2-5 in the third, and down 2-6 in the third set tiebreak in three hours

Ai Sugiyama. Jie Zheng. Zi Yan. Tamira Paszek.
Yaroslava Shvedova. Nuria&MariaJose. Yung-Jan Chan. Elena Vesnina. Flavia Pennetta.

Sugiyama - Sharapova could be a good one, also the all-Serb clash

Ivanovic * Kvitova * Serena

nice ones actually.

well, the Demented one is not really but because it's her & she can find some way to lose, it gains some bonus points.

Go IvanvicSugiStosourDemented.

Re: Which Quater Final is the Best Match Up?

Ivanovic is not playing well at all in fact i predict that match will be very easy for Jankovic.
Hingis-Stosur has the potential to be a great match contrasting styles, i really enjoyed their match at the Australian Open last year.
Sharapova-Sugiyama could be a great match too, depends how well Sharapova plays, and how much she lets Ai play her all court game.

Hingis/Stosur to me. I would say Jankovic/Ivanovic if I wasn't certain Jelena will demolish her.
