Will Ai Have another Horrendous Start in 2007?

She lost her first 4 matches in 05 and her first 5 matches in 06 (all in straights I think )and now she has lost in straight to Ferguson in the Gold Coast.. Why does she do this? She usually starts winning at about Doha/Dubai time Do u think she will do it again?

I'm optimistic for her. I hope she'll bounce back in time for the Australian Open. I'm sure she'll work herself into form way before Miami and Indian wells.

Poor Ai. If she'd been from a less expensive country, she could've retired years ago.

she used to have fantastic starts to the year, like 1997 and 1998 etc

Re: Will Ai Have another Horrendous Start in 2007?

well, she just lost to someone ranked 184 in the world, so she already has had a horrendous start to the season. at least it can only get better, and by that i mean she probably won't draw such a low ranked player in her next tournament so it won't be as embarrassing if she loses

Strange, after her GC win in 2004 she did nothing in Australia anymore... Hopefully it will be different this year, but this week was not such a great indicator.

Thank you for all these moments over the last years! Supported you until your final point!
