Re: Your Top 5 Doubles matches

1. Dementieva/Krasnoroutskaya def Venus/Serena Wimby 2003 R16 6-3 3-6 7-5
who doesnt love this match? lina k ruled in this match
2. Sveta/Molik def Davenport/Morariu AO 2005 Final 6-3 6-4
sveta finally wins a major doubles final and molik confirms shes top notch
3. Yan/Zheng def Ruano Pascual/Suarez Wimby 2006 Final 6-3 3-6 6-2
good quality match plus the fun/pain in watching the chinese pair nervously close it out
4. Li/Sun def Venus/Rubin Olympics 2004 R32 7-5 1-6 6-3
they looked like they'd won the gold medal after winning this match-it was only the 1st bloody round
5. Dementieva/Safina def Mauresmo/Pierce Fed Cup Final 6-4 1-6 6-3
dementieva rocked that weekend and it was good to see safina stepping it up in the big occasion

After 2 TOUGH 3-set qf's, I'm surprised Vee and Ree even PLAYED

Career Grand Slam in your 20s? Been there done that. Career golden slam your 30s?
There's only 1.
Serena.

Re: Your Top 5 Doubles matches

Venus/Serena over Hingis/Kournikova - FO Final '99 (7-6 in the third)
Hingis/Kournikova over Davenport/Zvereva - AO '99 (Anna was playing great back then)
Hingis/Kournikova over Hantuchova/S.Vicario - AO '02
Venus/Serena over R.Pascual/Suarez- AO '03 (this match frustrated me for most of it, but the result was good, always knew the sisters would come through with it)

Yes it was a great match! You couldn't say who would end up winning

I love Venus and Serena but Lena and Lina played absolutley inspired that day plus after a set and a half Venus and Serena started to play really well and looked like they would absolutley run away with the third but lena and lina just kept coming up with better and better shots and the rallies were just at times, i hope i can upload this match soon to show you's. This match also shows how much talent lina had, her BH was superb and her serve was soooooo solid. The last game she hit an amazing return winner DTL off Vee's 1st serve. The only downside to the match is that it ended on a DF from Venus

Grassonkova.

Sounds like a great match; one I'd love to watch

Hantuchova/Sugiyama def. (1) Black/Huber 6-7(0) 6-3 7-6(10) saving SEVEN match points, down 2-5 in the third, and down 2-6 in the third set tiebreak in three hours

Ai Sugiyama. Jie Zheng. Zi Yan. Tamira Paszek.
Yaroslava Shvedova. Nuria&MariaJose. Yung-Jan Chan. Elena Vesnina. Flavia Pennetta.

3. Martina Hingis + Monica Seles defeated Serena + Venus Williams 64 36 76 (2)

5. Maria Sharapova + Tamarine Tanasigarn defeated Ansley Cargill + Ashley Harkleroad 76 (1) 60
