Question Serbia / Montenegro

How many players (with a WTA or ATP ranking) from the former Serbia-Montenegro chose to represent Montenegro (apart from Danica Krstajic)? Does anyone know?

My sincerest apologies if this question has already been asked. TIA.

Danica Krstajic is the only one, for time being at least.

Will be interesting to see which nation does better, even though Serbia has a huge lead on Montenegro

What is interesting pleaseeeeeeeee???

Jelena Janković and Ana Ivanović versus Danica Krstajič and no one?
Novak Đoković, Nenad Zimonjić, Janko Tipsarević, Boris Pašanski and Ilija Bozoljac against who?

They have two players...and they are investing in tennis a lot for a country that size. But no talent in sight any soon...

Who's playing for Republika Srpska? (Maybe Dokic will, after endorsing its patron Seselj for President of Serbia 5 years ago).

That doesn't make any sence!!!
Vojislav Šešelj, and his party is not among the "good ones", and the bigger ones in Republika Srpska! They are not even in the parliament... They have about 2-3 percent of votes...

And by the way RS is a part of BIH, so no one can play for RS, they can only play for Bosnia and Herzegovina... Just to let you know

I know. Just speculating about ways to keep Jeca away from both Damir and the Ustashe Bikic Bastards. Your compatriots here like Joana, bokash, and Dule can tell you about my fascination with the former YUG (the original 6 republic one).

Six left to decide, including Danica.

400 (399) POPOVIC, ANDREA SCG
429 (432) MIRCIC, TEODORA SCG
448 (452) VESELINOVIC, ANA SCG
482 (483) JOVANOVIC, KAROLINA SCG

Following Montenegro's declaration of independence in June 2006, all current players representing Serbia & Montenegro (SCG) were asked to advise the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour whether they wished to represent Serbia (SRB) or Montenegro (MNE); players under the SCG country code had yet to advise the Tour.

Look at the ITF site, where you can find that the players I marked (Popović, Mirčić, Jovanović and Kozić) are offcourse playing for Serbia
Only player that has not decided yet is Ana Veselinović And her's dad told that she will play for Serbia.

I would love to see picturesque Republika Srpska represented in international sporting events. RS currently finds herself (sadly) within this (mini-YU) creation called Bosnia but it has absolutely nothing in common with the Muslim/Croat entity that forms the other half of this artificial "country".

If Wales and Scotland can be represented independently within the United Kingdom "Union" then it is only a matter of time before RS will do the same.

And Puerto Rico fields its own Olympic teams, though its a US territory. In fact Kristi Brandi (niece of Lisa Raymond's longtime coach Andy Brandi) lists PUR as her nationality.

Tell ya what re. Srpska: they can have their own teams if Kosovo can too.
