Will Serena and Venus play doubles together again?

It seems unlikely but they might in their last GS or something ...

I hope they do. They were very good at doubles when they were bothered.

I'm just hoping they (especially Venus) will play SINGLES again.

Really, don't even look at me...

im not saying that they will but if 07 is like 06 and the first half of 08 is shitty do u think the us would still pick them 2 represent? or would they pcik like vania king and some up and comers and if raymond is still playing then she would pobably be the pic for dubs

exactly what I hope... Venus/Serena is probably the best possible olympic team any country could have...when you look at other countries, many have great players to choose from, but they don't have the experience together/or the combined ability of V&S... (I just don't see two great players like Sharapova/Myskina for instance working that well together)

I don't think the US would dare not go with V&S as at least one team. The two of them at 75% is still a better option than several of the usa's young players...(question, do they get two teams, i think the did in '04) and then have the other team as Raymond (if she's still playing) and someone like King, Jackson or Harkleroad.

if the williams sisters are ranked outside the top 50 and someone like king and harkleroad creep in say at around 30 it would be fair if king and harkleroad got the chance to pay singles. maybe venus and serena would get a doubles spot but if raymond is still playing she might still be within the top 10 doubles players in the world and it would be fair for her to be chosen. so the us would pick the higher ranked williams sister to play with raymond. So venus and serena better get there act 2gether by the olympics or venus might not get the chance to play in another olympic.

Re: Will Serena and Venus play doubles together again?

These are the results for Serena's singles in the events where she also played doubles:

2001 Oz-QF
2001Wimby-QF
2001 US Open-F
2002- Wimby- W
2003- Oz-W
2003- Wimby-W

...So she's never lost before the QFs in singles when she's played doubles. It helps her singles, so I'm hoping she can incorporate more doubles in her game next year.

me 2....

don't forget Leipzig w/ Navratilova in 2002 and another tourney w/ Stevenson that she won in 2002 as well....so Doubles for Serena = WINS!

Re: Will Serena and Venus play doubles together again?

I've been wondering if Venus trying to get the Wimbledon Mixed crown would cause Serena to try and win Mixed at AO and RG to get the complete set.

I'd be very surprised if they played doubles again on the tour.
