That's funny you do not mention Mauresmo... Let's say Maria, but if there as many injured players as last year, who knows?

Cara Black - Liezel Huber - Mary Pierce

Chanelle Scheepers - Abigail Spears - Vladka Uhlirova - Mervana Jugic-Salkic - Francesca Schiavone -Tsvetana Pironkova - Lisa Raymond - Sophie Lefèvre...

Who knows, I think that, at this point, it's kind of wide open. We won't really know who, for sure, until the AO starts. You have to wait and see who wins what tournaments and the like to really get a good guesstimate as to who will, most likely, win. It's too early.

Why isn't the defending champion on the list?

I'm cheering for Amélie and Shahar.

Re: Who will win the Australia Open 2007?

I can't believe you left Mauresmo off and you have Dementieva on the list

Anyway, I guess Justine is the favourite at this point, but I would love to see Martina or Kim win it

Re: Who will win the Australia Open 2007?

interesting you left off the top 10 player who is a six-time finalist and three-time champion
