Lucie Safarova

What happened to her this year? She started off 2006 so well after winning the Gold Coast tournament, however she seemed to disappear and we rarely heard her for the remainder of the year...

Re: Lucie Safarova

Her game is really low percentage, she was bound to finally miss more than she hits in.

Re: Lucie Safarova

she got injured for ao and lost 1r and then started to slump, but she did manage to find her game for the american green clay tourneys. after a solid clay season, she lost early at rg and has not gotten it back together since then. it's a shame, though. lucie is very talented.

dementieva + sharapova + bartoli + chakvetadze

Re: Lucie Safarova

She's gonna be lucky to be in the top 100 soon... she's not defending Gold Coast next Jan!

Re: Lucie Safarova

yeah i was wondering where she was ever since she won the gold coast, produced some solid results on the clay season & beat stosur at the US Open.

well if she's not gonna defend her title at the gold coast then is she playin auckland instead.

Re: Lucie Safarova

She's really talented.

Beat Pennetta handily. Huge serve. Huge forehand and solid backhand. Very versatile.

Dunno where she's been eversince. But yay, we Aussies get to watch her matches on TV now.

Serena. Simona. Ana. Petra. Venus.
Clijsters, Henin, Dementieva, Davenport.
Martina Hingis - "No one else played like Hingis - no one could."

She's playing Hopman Cup that week (same week as GC). I dunno if she's play Sydney or Hobart the week before AO...hope she would play Hobart (I'm going).
