Question YEC:If this scenario happens, how the hell they're going to choose the semifinalists?

Current Situation in Red Group

Maria Sharapova 2-0 (4-0)
Svetlana Kuznetsova 1-0 (2-0)
Kim Clijsters 0-1 (0-2)
Elena Dementieva 0-2 (0-4)

Maria is virtually through... unless, out of the blue, she loses to Svetlana in 2, Svetlana wins agaisnt Elena in 2 and then Kim Clijsters win all her remaining matches in 2... then....

Final Standings in Red Group

Maria Sharapova 2-1 (4-2)
Svetlana Kuznetsova 2-1 (4-2)
Kim Clijsters 2-1 (4-2)
Elena Dementieva 0-3 (0-6)

... wait a minute, that means 3 players would have the same win-loss and also sets won/lost... how to pick a winner then???

Your sig picture exceeds the 200 pixel height limit.

Australian Open 2010 Final Result:-
Lost to Serena Williams 4-6, 6-3, 2-6 (Great job, girl! Now prepare for FO!)

Re: YEC:If this scenario happens, how the hell they're going to choose the semifinalists?

I think it goes down to the percentage of games won/lost?

then they count how many games the player has won or loss by percentage.

Sorry Udachi, but if this scenario happens, Elena is out unless she somehow pummels Kim 6-0, 6-0 (her games won/lost in this tournament is 13-25).

Even that won't be enough I think, depending on other results.
