A Statue of Mary Pierce: Please Help!!!!

Hi Everyone!

The Musée Grévin in Paris has many wax statues of French and international celebrities. While visiting the Musée last week I was disappointed to see that among the tennis players represented there, there was no wax statue of Mary Pierce, whereas Amélie Mauresmo - also one of the greatest French tennis player - has got her own.

As you know Mary is the last French player who's won the French Open and the last one who's played the Final there - and she's got no statue! That is why I have made a blog to promote the creation of a wax Statue representing Mary Pierce at the Musée Grévin. There is also a petition.

here's the link to my blog (in French, I'm really sorry! But it's a funny one, especially the pics of Amélie's Statue) :

http://marypierceaumuseegrevin.over-blog.com

and to the petition:

http://www.mesopinions.com/detail-pe...c8320f94e4c1c8

here's the translation of the form you need to fill in:

Nom = Name
Nationalité = Nationality
Profession = Employment
Commentaires= Comments (you can leave your comment in English!)

Please come and help Mary get her statue! Advertise this petition!

If you subscribe, you will get a mail with a link and you need to click on it to confirm your signature!

Thank You So Much!

I'll do it, hon, but you have to admit that Mary's about as French as French Fries.

Exactly.

At least his heart is in the right place although he blacked out his own photo on the website. Who wouldn't want their picture up on the internet?

Actually, looking at what they did to Amelie in the figure, I think Mary is lucky they left her off the list. Amelie's wax figure looks cross-eyed and her nose is all messed up. The real/live Amelie is not cross-eyed and her nose is not messed up.

Helen - I could not agree more. Wax dummies always lose something in the translation sometimes they are terrifying.

It looks like someone socked Amelie right straight in the nose and broke it!

Just what I was thinking. It's looks more like a boxer's nose.

Q. So it went under or through the net?
JELENA JANKOVIC: I think through or underneath, and then somehow -- I have no idea...

Mary

(July 4th, 1994 - August 5th, 2009) I love you so much... I miss you so...

The one of Amelie is quite bad - Mary is better off out of it.

Though to be fair, Amelie's isn't as shocking as the Belgian Wax Museum - I don't know how to search for old threads...you should dig up the pics of wax Kim & Justine...!
