QF Showdown: Svetlana Kuznetsova vs. Jelena Jankovic - Who will win?

Who will win?

Jelena won they only h2h match so far at US Open this summer 6-7 6-3 6-2,
but after that Sveta won both tournament where played (Bali and Beijing) and Jelena reach two semis (lose against WTA#1 in first and retire in 2nd).

and I'm not even fan of Ana Ivanovic... just an objective observer who realize how perfect she is

AMAZING BELGRADE MIRACLE: In just three years (2008-2011) 5 different players born in same city reach world #1 in rankings and several GS titles and finals (WTA singles: Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic, ATP singles: Novak Djokovic, ATP doubles: Nenad Zimonjic and Daniel Nestor... with notable performances of Bojana Jovanovski, Janko Tipsarevic and Viktor Troicki which is also all three born in Belgrade)

I want Jelena to win but she will be too tired to win. Kuznetsova 3-6, 6-4, 6-1

Flavia Pennetta

If some have chance to win against Sveta at this tournament - that is (hot form) Jeca!

Elena is in not greate form, and others still dont have enough quallity to win against "good-form" Sveta at Hardcourt.

They're both going to start strong, they usually have good first sets, but whoever breaks first in the 2nd set is going to win, just not necessarily in two sets.

My money is on Kuznetsova. She's not going to play to Jankovic's backhand very much, and if she does she'll use some wicked topspin.

Jelena's been playing great, as has Sveta. Judging by their match at the U.S Open, I think Jelena should win this match. She completley dominated the last two sets of that match. Jelena 3-6, 6-4, 6-1.

When Kuznetsova is in top form she is extremely hard to beat. I don't think Jankovic will be able to beat her. Kuznetsova in two sets.

Jankovic is likely going to be dog-tired after her match w/Pironkova (not to mention successive tournaments in Beijing and Guangzhou). I'm guessing the fatigue factor is going to weigh heavily upon her, and Kuzzi's just been too good lately, so . . .

Kuzzi in 2.

I saw only 3rd set in person at the Open. Jankovic dominated Sveta in last 2 sets as someone had mentioned. I don't think Sveta was particularly happy with the usual goonish histrionics by Jankovic as after the match she shook umpire's hand and sat down. If Jankovic didn't come to Kuznetsova whose back was turned they wouldn't have shaken hands. Thing is Jankovic was brilliant in the US Open particulary her movement up until her very painful choke against Henin. Even though I don't like Jankovic that was painful choke to watch. She was getting to everything that Sveta was hitting in the 3rd set. I think given the circumstances and the revenge factor, I give Sveta the edge, but ordinarily I would pick Jankovic in a head to head unless it was a final. I wouldn't be surprised by much since I consider these 2 the hottest players currently and very evenly matched and I could even see Jankovic retiring if she loses 1st set but I give slight but not confident nod to Sveta.
