Security at tennis events for top players more SECURE now than in April 1993?

The 1993 Hamburg stabbing incident led to considerable strengthening of security at tennis events (both WTA and ATP).

Um, no. Have you ever noticed the huge security guards right behind the players?

If streakers can get onto court, what's stopping a crazed fan....

Someone could easily hide a weapon under clothing, they've only ever checked bags at tournament's I've been to.

That being said, security is tighter.

I was disappointed that I got into the last two WTA Tour tournaments I attended without even being asked to open my bag (which has happened to me only once, presumably because the country was on Black Special alert or something). What if my bag had contained a bomb or a gun?

As a Selesian, I would rather be strip-searched than see the tennis-world persist with such lax security.

We should add Jessons to the TWAT event - immediately. I don't care if it's at the final already, add this mofo now.

Put it this way... if I wanted to stab a player at Wimbledon, I could, it's not hard to get near players.

Women's tennis sucks.

Go Rafa.
