8th Seeded Ayumi Morita won her second pro title of the season winning $50,000 Tokyo

She beat (1) Yung-Jan Chan of Chinese Taipei 3-6 6-3 6-4 After trailing 1-3 in the third set.

She had lost both previous encounters against Chan on the pro circuit in one tournament

They both reached the finals in Fukuoka, JPN in 2005 and 2006 with Chan claiming both titles.

She will later play the AIG Japan Open in the qualifying against Erika Takao JPN

2006 - $25,000 Tokachi; $50,000 Tokyo
Doubles: 2007 - $50,000 Gifu (w/ Ai Sugiyama); $50,000 Fukuoka (w/ A. Yonemura)

SHe's gonna be the best ever from Japan. She has so much more power than Ai or Kimiko. Serve is shaky but the rest of her game is awesome!

Let's hope she can live up to her potential in the big tournaments! she is very talented. and i'm a bit surprised that she didn't get a WC into the Japan Open..
