The best Grand Slam trophy ceremony EVER!

Once again, VENUS and SERENA WILLIAMS achieved another first in tennis history. Not just being the first siblings to play each other twice in a Grand Slam (GS) final and the first to play in a Roland Garros final, but the two who gave tennis the best GS trophy ceremony or any tennis trophy ceremony ever.

We have seen players run up to the stands to be congratulated by loved ones, but never has such a display of good sportsmanship, consideration and love been displayed as when VENUS obtained the camera from her mother to obtain a photo of her younger sister holding her first place trophy.

What a great sight!
Even in defeat, VENUS show why she is a great champion and a wonderful big sister. What a positive legacy these two athletes are going to leave the tennis and sports world. The French will remember this trophy presentation ceremony and the WILLIAMS sisters for many years to come.

And as icing to the cake, SERNA nad VENUS gave part of their acceptance speeches in French as well.

Yet another reason why me and many others are proud to be a WILLIAMS fan.

Smile

Yes, it really was a memorable presentation ceremony, so funny to hear Venus giggling so much when she couldn't get the camera to work at first! But also really sweet that she could forget her own disappointment and enjoy Serena's happiness. Congrats to both girls!

It was a great trophy ceremony. Venus and Serena bring soooo much to the tennis table. They are so real and not stiff and starchy. How anyone could not have enjoyed the ceremony is beyond me
