How the Hell was This Match Boring?!

Jennifer won in 2 easy sets last year for AO. Mary won in 2 easy sets to win Roland Garros. Lindsay won in 2 sets over Steffi to win Wimbledon.

You guys except so much just because they let you down so many times. So this match, which was actually better than A LOT of their matches, that actually had an interesting scoreline and was a rollercoaster ride was boring?! I just don't see it. Some of you just want so bad for them to win in like 3 sets, 10-8 in the 3rd. Dude! Not every match will be like that. Get over it, move on, don't lose sleep over something so ridiculous to cry about. But of course, if this exact match switched finalists or just had one Williams in it vs. another player, would it be boring?! Nnnooooooooo. And you can say yes it would, but because the finalists wouldn't be sisters with unnecessary controversy around them, I am sure no one would complain, so if you say yes, I choose not to believe you.

¡FELICITATIONS RENA!

Actually, this match wasn't that bad. Lots of well played rallies, but of course also a lot of horrible errors, and it lacked the excitement that a close duel would give, but that could be said about the other finals you mention too. And of course, if you don't like any of the players involved, it will be more boring

Grats to Serena!

There were A LOT of winners by Serena. The truth is, if it were 2 different players, no one would care. You're so transparent...

I don't think it was boring. The emotions that were obvious on the faces of Serena, Venus AND Oracene , as well as some excellent rallies kept it interesting. It was nice to see them use their power on each other.

I agree Mrs Guga... Although my heart is still breaking <sob sob> I enjoyed the match for the most part... There were some awesome shots... Bottom-line Serena wanted it more than Venus (whose serve deserted her )
I don't care what any haters say, for me it was quite an honor to have watched the sisters on the court. First class act with humility. (I just wish Venus had won )

I don't think Americans will be as interested in an all-Williams French Open final than an all-Williams US Open final

I don't think you can compare the tv rankings of a prime-time live final with a tape delayed match!

I enjoyed the match. If it had went 7-6, 6-7, 7-6 certain posters would have still said it was boring. Those same posters are still probably believing in their minds that Venus and Serena can't win Roland Garros, even though they just saw Serena win it!

Well that's too bad if they thought it was boring. I thought it was great. People are just going to have to get used to the Sisters dominating. It's simple: if they want to see better finals, then they should write their faves and ask them to play better.

Venus and Serena are sitting on top of the WORLD
