In the period from January to April 2006 Dr. Skalny sent very detailed messages to Ms Sharapova [...]: “Mildronate 1-2 X 10, repeat in 2 wks (before training or competition)”; “1 hr before competition, 2 pills of Mildronate”; “During games of special importance, you can increase your Mildronate dose to 3-4 pills (1 hr before the match). However, it is necessary to consult me on all these matters (please call)”; “30 minutes prior to a training session: Mildronat – 1 Capsule. 30-45 minutes prior to a tournament Mildronat 2 capsules”.

Congrats Maria She definitely deserved to win this final. She was controlled with her power, intense and nerveless. Handled the situation very well and outplayed Justine.

Pretty impressive, imo, since she had to GET THERE to lose them . Congrats to Justine on an impressive and rare feat - making the finals of all 4 Slams.

And congrats to Maria on winning the Open.

Reason is poor propaganda when opposed by the yammering, unceasing lies of shrewd and evil and self-serving men.

That was freaking awesome!! Congrats Maria!! I am am sooooo happy!!

Also, good job to Justine for getting in 4 straight finals. I don't really like her, but she deserves her props too.

BTW that 360 degrees comment had me dying laughing. Why do people always confuse the meaning of doing a 180 and a 360? Hahah

Can anyone post a copy of Maria's on-court acceptance speech? Or give the jist of it if you remember? I missed the match but would love to know what she said. Thanks!

This is the best Sharapova I've ever seen. No matter what Henin did, Maria had the answer. I didn't expect an eas match, but I thought Henin would win.
Maria was just great!

Phenomenal match from Maria. Tremendous serving, great ground game, and much improved movement. A deserved championship

Congrats to Maria on a pretty impressive tournament, totally deserved win

On the other hand, Justine's year was not too shabby with 4 GS finals and an almost-sure finish as year-end #1
