Has Henin changed her service motion?

Did anybody else noticed that?

Yes she has, she pulls her arm back a bit now before starting her proper service motion, therefore when she serves her arm is closer to the body before she swings. She didn't used to do this.

I think it's in order for it to be more reliable when it's windy, or something like that, but it's definitely noticable.

It does give her a more powerful and accurate serve (she does not hit the net on her serve much often now), but it might strain her shoulder one too many. In the Sugiyama game, I notice her having problems with her shoulder when she was in the 1st set.... anyone notice that?

Your sig picture exceeds the 200 pixel height limit.

Australian Open 2010 Final Result:-
Lost to Serena Williams 4-6, 6-3, 2-6 (Great job, girl! Now prepare for FO!)

Yeah, could see that from when she was leading 41 and lost the set 64

Yeah, I thought I was going crazy but I guess I'm not the only one that noticed it.

It's more Sprem-esque now.

i hope there is no shoulder problems, because then she would have to take anti inflamatories which would give her stomach ulcers whcih would force her to withdraw in the final....

anyway allez justine!

Allez Justine!

justine had a back injury or perhaps a shoulder injury this summer, not quite sure which one, and this new service motion is to help prevent any more future injuries. i must say, i dont like how it looks. and i think shes still getting used to it. this is the 3rd time she changed her service motion. it is so hard to change your technique anytime, but with the serve its even harder.
