Yeah I've seen both first round and second round matches of Serena. Well in the first round it was sometimes topspin, cause Lourdes Dominguez-Lino was hitting high balls and Serena smacked them down from the baseline. I indeed saw that Serena used more topspin on her forehand side when she was in defence when she played against Hantuchova. But she was mixing the powerfull and topspin forehands. She is trying to use the topspin forehand more I think.

Has anyone ever seen Serena play live? I was just wondering becuase people say that she hits the ball with a lot of topspin. Is it a lot?
I saw her play in LA, and she does use spin on her shots...her angles are amazing to watch in person Serena honestly doesn't get enough credit for how well she actually hits the ball. A lot of people say she's just a ball basher which is far from the truth.
Just from watching TV I thought she was hitting the ball hard and with a lot of topspin during the Hantuchova match. Her balls had pace but still had a lot of margin for error because of the spin. It was a lot like how the men hit.
