I saw a bunch of players up close... Most of the players at the Roger's Cup last week It was really awesome - they hit so hard, you can feel it - and it was just great to see all of them after posting here about them for months And I got to see my absolute favorite, Ai, and that was magical... I was shaking when I asked her to sign this picture I printed out of her (I'm going to frame it!) and when I told her good luck she said "Thank you" in her cute little voice...

I'm very, very luck to have gone ^^

Hantuchova/Sugiyama def. (1) Black/Huber 6-7(0) 6-3 7-6(10) saving SEVEN match points, down 2-5 in the third, and down 2-6 in the third set tiebreak in three hours

Ai Sugiyama. Jie Zheng. Zi Yan. Tamira Paszek.
Yaroslava Shvedova. Nuria&MariaJose. Yung-Jan Chan. Elena Vesnina. Flavia Pennetta.

went to the last two Wimbledons and the French Open this year so too many to mention but obviously the happiest I ever was when meeting a player was when I met Lindsay - its great to meet your fav (provided they are nice to you of course). Other players that would stand out for being sound would be Tati Garbin, got my pic taken with her at the French and she is very good to her fans. Nicole Pratt also took time for pics as well as Jana Novotna and Tracey Austin who are really lovely. After meeting so many players the one thing that has struck me is that the older players (e.g Novotna) or lower ranked players like Garbin are usually nicer and more accomodating. Saying that Kim, Sveta and in particular Amelie (who is very warm) were lovely everytime I've met them.

Yes, I talked to Justine after she won the us open in 2003, I went to the airport, and lucky we where only with a few fans there so we could talk to her, ask autographs, went on a pincture with her and we also gave her a dose of choclate.

I also saw Dementieva, Kim Clijsters, Kuznetsova, Mauresmo, Dechy, Sharapova, Petrova, Safina from really close, but not that close that I could talk to them.

I have been going to tournaments since 1996 so I have seen loads of players up close. I have talked to a few as well, with Maria Elena being the absolute best

Yeah, with a +1000 picture thread from just 2006 you belong the the ones up close and personal. Great pics btw

I am going to two to three WTA tournaments and some challengers per year since - well, a decade. Saw many, spoke to some.

Well I talked with a few Players like: Anna- Lena Groenefeld, Julia Schruff, Martina Müller, Maria Kirilenko, Nadia Petrova, Jill Craybas and Klara Koukalova in Berlin this year.
They were all very friendly and very nice!
The conversation with Anna- Lena was absolute the best and the longest!
