Serena-Sharapova

Career Grand Slam in your 20s? Been there done that. Career golden slam your 30s?
There's only 1.
Serena.

Lindsay Davenport def. Kim Clijsters, 2005 Roland Garros round of 16.

Lindsay down a set and a break on clay against Kim whom she hadn't beat in forever.
It's the most recent comeback of hers and the most emotional for me.

Dementieva - IW semi against JHH down a set and 5-2 with a double break and won 7-5 in the 3rd or maybe being down 0-6 0-2 against Smashnova RG 04

Vee - Amelie Island final against JHH was down 6-2 4-0 and won 7-6 in the 3rd or maybe the Wimbledon 05 final down a set and a break, saved a MP in the 3rd and won 9-7

Grassonkova.

Her fall from the pinnacle of tennis in April 1993 was as perverse as it was unprecedented: She was stabbed in the back by a fanatical supporter of the very woman she had supplanted as the world's No. 1 player.

Though the physical injuries from the attack took a few months to heal, it was years before Monica Seles got over the emotional toll. But after not playing for two years, she won her first tournament back, the 1995 Canadian Open, and added her ninth grand slam title at the Australian Open the next year.

Li Na vs Daniela Hantuchova at Doha (or was it Dubai?) this year... a set and 5-1 down, i believe?

And Na against Patty, too, Berlin 2006.

hingis/serena AO 01
hingis/seles YEC 00

hingis/serena canada 00
hingis/venus rome 06

coming back from a first-set bagel to beat a williams sister - a glorious way to win indeed! has anyone else ever done this against venus or serena?

"It’s always been, ‘I wonder what she’s got, Sharapova?’, because I don’t see that she’s got something that special… Or do you know? Can you tell? What’s so exceptional about her?”
