Chokebotnik

Is hereby awarded the choke award for the day...

Granted Mirza played pretty well last year on American hardcourts and surely played well today, but still a match that Kata should have won. First she left her serve at home, serving 58% until late in the match when she served in the 80s yesterday. 7 double faults were also on the agenda. But she was all set to win the second set and take the match to three where she has a much better 3 set match record this year than Mirza. But, nothing doing, serving for the second at 5-4 she wins not one point, loses it at love... Goes down 4-0 in the tie-break and it was all over.....

well its not such a bad win for her!! Check your attitude!!Mirza beat Petrova 6 3 6 2 or something like that in the same round..Even tho Petrova was just coming out of injury but everyone knows mirza can be amazing if shes on!!Plus how can you call her choker??Shes the one who saved 1 Mp against Schnyder and won the match..

SANIA JUSTINE ELENAD

Martina Hingis Ana Ivanovic Myskina Safarova

When I have my goals set, I always attain them- Justine

Like I said Mirza surely played well but Kata left her serve at home and didn`t win a single point serving for the second set at 5-4. Choking.... A third set would have favored Kata given records. Someone needs to get the choker award for the day, the honor is hers...
