Williams Family Wimbledon Streak STILL ALIVE...sorta

2006: (Venus: Mixed Doubles Finalist)

2005: (Venus: Singles Champion)

2004: (Serena: Singles Finalist)

2003: (Serena: Singles Champion, Venus: Singles Finalist)

2002: (Serena and Venus: Doubles Champions, Serena: Singles Champion, Venus: Singles Finalist)

2001: (Venus: Singles Champion)

2000: (Serena and Venus: Doubles Champions, Venus: Singles Champion)

Over the past 7 years, they have collected 13 Wimbledon Trophies (5 Champions, 3 Runner Ups, 4 Doubles, 1 Mixed). That's an average of almost 2 trophies a year !

This is not a living in the past thread, or any of that nonesense. Just a thread to CONGRATULATE Venus for keeping the Williams Family Championship Weekend Streak Alive!

*By the way, as of today, the Williamses and the Bryans both have Career Grand Slams in Doubles! CONGRATS!

Career Grand Slam in your 20s? Been there done that. Career golden slam your 30s?
There's only 1.
Been around the world, copped all 4 thrice.

Serena.[21]

Oh let it go. The streak's over

You don't close your eyes, even for a milli-second,
when Serena is backed into a corner and looking to bust out.

yep...if it wasn't for that dry spell in 1999, the williams sisters would be on a 9 year championship weekend streak..

All those mixed doubles and doubles titles, and runner up trophies may be nice to look at, but as far as I'm concerned, Serena has won Wimbledon twice

Those doubles titles are just spaceholders. That singles plate is all I'm concerned about.

You don't close your eyes, even for a milli-second,
when Serena is backed into a corner and looking to bust out.
