Martina Billie Jean Steffi Margaret Maria
A rare gathering of five of the greatest tennis players ever to have graced the lawns of Wimbledon. It's too bad that Chrissie and Venus , the other two triple singles champions at the All England club in the last 50 years, were not there too.

Only one of those five women has played against the other four - and none of them has a winning record against her.....

A week is nothing when you look at the ages of these ladies. Greatness endures forever.

It really is amazing that Martina really is a 3-generation player!

Monica was half a generation too much, though and Martina ended up with a 7-10 losing record against her. It seems that both of them really enjoy(ed) playing against each other and got on very well.

Does anyone know why Evert wasn't there?

So true they are all the legends of the game, its up the Williams sisters, Sharapova, Henin-Hardenne, Clijsters and Mauresmo to stand up and become one of them, some of these players are nearly there but need the next step.

All hail former queens of the game

First time I have seen this. it's wonderful, but Margaret looks as if she doesn't have her dentures in! Steffi as ever just gets better and better.

I'm glad to see Maria Bueno there; for some reason I thought she was dead. Glad shes alive and well.

Court looks like her happy, cheerful self.
