What Happened To Leanne Baker?

She had a pretty good junior career. #5 in doubles and #48 in singles. Teamed up with Eleni Daniilidou twice, reaching two finals. Had singles wins over Roberta Vinci 60 63, Kim Clijsters 75 61, Daniela Hantuchova 76 76, Wynne Prakusya 75 36 64, and many more! Had 3 set losses to Jelena Dokic 63 36 06 & 36 75 46, Na Li 64 46 26.

She has reached a career high of #298 in singles and #107 in doubles. Is currently #351 in singles (best ranking in over 4 years), and in the mid 250's for doubles. Leanne has the game to beat the best. Big serve, single handed back hand, great volleys. But very poor movement. Can Leanne still make an impac on the WTA Tour? Shes only 25. What do you guys think? Why has she found the move from juniors to seniors harder than everyone else? Is she a late bloomer. With her game, she could be top 70.

Have a look at the top 50 juniors right now and look for them in 5 years time...you'll be lucky to find 20% of them in the top 100

But I, being poor, have only my dreams
I have spread my dreams under your feet
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams
