wimbledon newbie tix question

Quick question -- if you que up for tix at Wimbledon, up to which courts can you buy reserved seat tickets for (as long as there are still some left!)?

Centre Court
Court 1
Court 2
Court 3....higher?

At which court does it become first come first served?

Thanks!!!

everyday up to the semi there are 250 tickets released for Centre, Court 1 and Court 2 each - after that a ground pass will get you round all the courts and into the standing area of court 2. Some days are crazy for tickets especially the first saturday and 4th round where last year when I was there you needed to camp and queue at crazy hours. We got down there before 5 for the fourth round and the best we could get was court 2. Its piss easy to get tickets for the womens quarters, queued very early last year but I'd say even being in the queue before 8 and you would get centre. As far as I know I'm correct about the amount of tickets released but to be sure check out the official site. Have a ball at Wimby, last year was my first time and it is a really great place!

Dav abu-- thx for the reply. I think I will try to get there around 7 or 7:30 tomorrow and see how it goes. I'll try to post what time I get there and what's available after I get back. Any other words of wisdom you care to share, or anyone else for that matter?

I know there was a previous thread on when you should get there, but any tips on anything else would be greatly appreciated!

hmm all I can really think of saying is get there early - and 7 or 7.30 sounds fine. I think sometimes you can be better off with a ground pass in the first week. Unless you have a favourite you really want to see in the main courts or want to go for the big names depending on the order of play a ground pass is much cheaper and there are plenty of good matches and big names on the outside courts. As well as that you can chill out on the hill and soak up the real atmosphere - the hardcore are on the hill! If you are an autograph hunter (like me!) head to aorangi terrace when you get in and you can watch the players train and meet them when they are finished. Always be sure of the order of play the next day I know it sounds obvious but in the queue for the quarters last year 3 girls ahead of me that had queued very early asked for centre tickets and minutes later copped that Maria was on court 1 - they nearly died but its no good then because you can't change. Apologies for the very basic info but theres a lot to think of
