Actually it took 12 weeks....US Open Series + US Open = 2.2 Million

Nah, they're not.

But the US Open series starts from the first tournament during the American summer doesn't it? So whoever gains the most points in those 10 weeks leading up to the Open get the potential bonus, then you when you actually win the Open, 2 weeks later, you get it all.
