I'm Not Watching Wimbledon 2006.

im no longer interested in wimbledon 2006 after last years lindsay's painful defeat. i was very very depressed and i know venus butt will be kicked, justine will be sliced up by hingis this year. hope it will happen. i will only watch the final should there be either hingis, ana ivanovic or kim clijsters.

Just remind yourself that all theses wins and losses are about other peopleís lives, that you have chosen to be loyal to. If you let yourself become VERY VERY depressed about a playerís losses, then I think itís about time you started to detach yourself a little. Lindsay did experience great disappointment and maybe depression, but like most top players, she is a rich woman, possibly happily married and has other things to keep her happy. Sheís been successful. Itís her life, her work. Same goes for Hingis and Justine, and Venus and whom ever.

Detach yourself a little. The best player of the tournament will win. If Hingis canít beat Justine Ė Justine deserves the win. If Ivanovic canít beat Amelie, Amelie deserves the win. If player X is making 20000000 errors, they deserve to lose, and the other player is better.

Happens a lot with us sports fans, we get too involved and too emotional. Just watch for great tennis.

There's a true tennis fan for you, missing the sport's biggest tournament intentionally.

Really, don't even look at me...

And I'm not watching Budapest 2006...
Because they won't show it on TV.

But anyway... who cares what tournament you or me won't watch?

I'd like to imagine that in order to beat me a person would have to play almost perfect tennis. - Venus Williams

I remember after last years final - I was over at Wimbledon and was completely gutted. We went to the Royal Tennis Association BBQ that night and I couldn't eat a think and kept getting tears in my eyes, I honestly thought I would never be able to watch another tennis match again! A few weeks later though and I was back watching again and don't think I missed a match at the US Open. Was so disappointed when Lindsay missed the French but still went and even though Wimbledon won't be the same this year we're heading over to London in a few days time. We are the hardcore on here and feel it more than most but feck it we still follow our favs and even without them we should always keep up the support of womens tennis. Who else from here is heading to Wimbledon?
