How can Mauresmo finally ditch all the doubters?

Although I believe Ame won the YEC and AO fair and square beacuse of her performance at RG there will always be those who doubt her and question her right to be no 1. In my view she will have to beat either Clijsters or JHH in a GS final, without any of them being injured or sick before, finally and deservedly, she gets to ditch the choke label.

close your eyes and believe

She needs to beat the players that own her when it actually matters..... If Kim didnt hurt her ankle in Aus I dont think she would have beaten her.... she beat Justine period.... but she needs to not fall apart when she plays Davenport/Serena/Kim/ Any of her friends. If I see Amelie lose another Wimbledon semifinal when she should win Ill go crazy.

Team Williams
Princess of Power: Serena Williams
21 time grand slam champion, Tours best fighter, Olympic Champion
Queen of Grass: Venus Williams

Huge lack of significant victories in significant(or not)moments. When you look at her H2H against the big names it's just . Plus,to me,her technique is too poor, she doesn't really has skill except her fantastic volley(her backhand is so overrated) and her exceptional physique

win another grand slam tournament.
I think she has done really well this year.
Mauresmo and Henin are the best by far so far this year.

Amélie's performances at RG are understandable in many ways, you have to be at RG to really feel what is like for her, everybody wants a piece of her.
I went down to watch her mixed doubles match on an outside court by the time I got there it was packed out and people queing to get in. There was people jumping on a fence and clinging on to a tree just to get a picture of her and security was telling them to get down. I am not just talking about momosapiens here but middle aged men and women.
All of the players were aware of what is happening outside, I left and when I walked back Kim was practicing on a court with just a few people watching and Lena d was on the court opposite and again could just practice in peace.
They had actually blocked off the access to these courts when I came back cause too many people were coming down.
But all I can say for Amélie is that she is an introverted person and does not like to live in the spotlight it must be difficult to be at RG, I think she plays her best tennis away from France and her best chances at GS's are Wimbledon and the Aus open.

I was about to forget..If she could reduce losses,it would sound better
Ivanovic,Petrova,Kuznetsova(2 times),Schiavone,JHH,Vaidisova,it's anormally too much for a supposed number one. She's allowed to lose agains Nadia Sveta and Juju but the other losses are less "allowable"

While the three retirements in Australia were out of Mauresmo's control, they will forever place a symbolic asterisk on that title. To remove it, Mauresmo will have to play and win seven full matches at a major.

For me they have to be:
-Win a french open
-Defend YEC or AO.

If she does any of these I would see her to be a champion

The semifinal and final retirements were pivotal, but the other one? Come on!

Every player has doubters ... even multi slam winners like Justine and Venus.

All Amelie can do is continue to play her game.

Like I said, all three were out of Mauresmo's control, but the fact remains that she only played four full matches out of seven. If she wins seven matches at Wimbledon, it will legitimize her status as a Grand Slam champion and her #1 ranking. It's grossly unfair, but c'est la vie.

Who cares about doubters, Momo is still AO Champion, #1, and most importantly, a genuine humang being.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Kart again.

to you Kart

She's got a good shot at Wimbledon-win that and she'll silence a few doubters and gain a few haters
