of 16 wildcards, only 9 go to Brits

That is lowest award by any of the 4 GS countries for about 10 years. I knwo the British women aren't great, but then how many of the French, Ozzie and American girsl who gets wildcards (especially in the qualifying event) do much better?

If you look at the results of grand slam wildcards, generally they are very poor. its just a fact. but this year wimbledon has gone all out.5 out of 8 main draw to brits (totally understandable and i think the right decisions). but i dont see how you can justify only giving 4 of the 8 qualifying wildcards to brits? does the LTA expect some favour to be returned? cos it aint gonna happen.

im pissed off. but at least Karen is in

I think at least some of the wildcards to the slams should be decided by the ITF, not the individual tournaments because the current system gives an in-built advantage to the home players of the four majors. If you're a Nigerian, a Chilean or an Iranian, you don't stand a chance. At least the ITF has representatives from all corners of the globe.

I think the number in the maindraw is ok but qualifying is a joke. i think if you look at the results of aussies, french and americans in qualifying via a WC its about the same as the UK girls performances.

I agree that there is a need to get tougher but 6 WC's would have done that given them to

Jane O'Donoghue, Karen Paterson, Georgie Stoop, Becky Llewellyn, Amanda Janes and Sarah Coles.

Sarah Coles has moved up 400 places in the rankings this yea surly that deserves some recogition?

GOOD LUCK IN 2016 GB TENNIS GIRLS

Johanna Konta, Naomi Broady, Tara Moore, Heather Watson , Laura Robson

Eleanor Dean, Katy DunneKatie Boulter, Sam Murray

Katie Swan, Harriet Dart,
