Its the "TOUR DE FRENCH OPEN" in Svetlana Kuznetsova's beautiful mind
TOUR DE FRENCH OPEN:@ In Svetlana Kuznetsova's mind, Paris is all about cycling, not tennis.
The 2004 U.S. Open champion, who faces Justine Henin-Hardenne in Saturday's French Open final, grew up in a cycling family in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Her father, Alexandr Kuznetsov, coached six Olympic cycling champions and is now the coach at Lokomotiv, Russia's top cycling club. Her mother, Galina Tsareva, was a six-time cycling world champion and holder of 20 world records.
And her brother, Nikolai Kuznetsov, won a silver medal at the 1996 Olympics.
"I grow up in cycling family," Kuznetsova said. "I was not watching tennis that much all the time. I was living with guys in the (cycling) club. The only thing I remember, they were watching Tour de France.
"So Paris is a bit more Tour de France."
