Mixed review, Quarterfinals.

(7) Likhovtseva/Nestor def. Stewart/Matkowski 7-5 1-6 6-3
A shaky second set, but nonetheless a victory against the duo that took out Raymond/Bjorkman. Well, at least Bryanne got her revenge

(6) Navratilova/Bryan B. def. Kirilenko/Paes 6-3 6-3
A close match, one break a set - but Maria and Leander couldn't measure up to the legend and the twin. Martina got 'revenge' on her ex-partner..?

(8) Srebotnik/Zimonjic def. Dulko/Gonzalez 6-7(5) 6-4 9-7
This sounds like an excellent match, too bad I couldn't see it Katarina and Nenad just edge out the Argen-chilian duo, in an epic match. Dulko and Gonzalez are no joke: they took out the fourth-seeded Jie Zheng and Max Mirnyi.

Zvonareva/Ram def. (5) Stubbs/Perry 7-6(5) 6-2
I have a feeling Rennae gave up to conserve energy for her Doubles quarterfinal (to no effect ) and just gave up after losing the tiebreaker 7-5. But nonetheless, Vera & Andy are an excellent team, edging out a quality team to get here (Sun/Aspelin) and have a nice shot here in Paris.

So our semifinals are set, to be played tomorrow. I remind you, the first Roland Garros final will be Friday!
(7) Likhovtseva/Nestor vs. (6) Navratilova/Bryan B.
(8) Srebotnik/Zimonjic vs. Zvonareva/Ram

Who are your picks for the semis, and the final after?

I'd say... Likhovtseva/Nestor and Zvonareva/Ram, with Vera/Andy winning.

Hantuchova/Sugiyama def. (1) Black/Huber 6-7(0) 6-3 7-6(10) saving SEVEN match points, down 2-5 in the third, and down 2-6 in the third set tiebreak in three hours

Ai Sugiyama. Jie Zheng. Zi Yan. Tamira Paszek.
Yaroslava Shvedova. Nuria&MariaJose. Yung-Jan Chan. Elena Vesnina. Flavia Pennetta.
