Aggressive Hingis = Top 5

Passive Hingis = Top 20

It's that simple.

I think you should send this thread to her. I have seen some fantastic matches from her when she is confident, playing agressively etc. When she crawls into her shell, even when things aren't going her way, it's the most frustrating thing!!!!

Don't hide that beautiful game Marti!!!!

It's UNBELIEVABLE how much Martina upped her level of play from Warsaw and even from her last 2 matches in Berlin, she was almost perfect in every department today. Today everything worked, we saw the 1997 Martina who attacked and dictated play !!! She needs to continue to play like that against the top players, it's definitely in her top-3 best matches of 2006! Maybe her best one, certainly her best since she beat Maria in Tokyo!!!

She needs to play with that style and use all her shots and all court play not moon ball and counter punch. Look what happens when she goes for it and does what she should.

Agreed. She is a confidence player and when everthing is working for her, she goes for her shots more. A great front runner.

She has to keep her head in the match all the time and go for a winning mindset. She has all the guile and the tactics - tools that will sharpen with confidence & time.

Consistency is the key...
