Who will get the Grand Slam first - Justine, Martina or Lindsay?

Justine, Martina and Lindsay have won 3 out of the 4 Slams...

Justine: Australian Open, French Open and US Open.
Martina: Australian Open, Wimbledon and US Open.
Lindsay: Australian Open, Wimbledon and US Open

To complete the Grand Slam, Justine needs to win Wimby, & Martina and Lindsay will have to win French.

Who will achieve it first?

Justine but she would probably have to lose early at RG, and put all her focus into winning Wimbledon.
It could happen this year Lindsay and Venus have hardly played, Serena won't be there, Maria, Amélie and Kim, also Sveta would be her obstacles.
But I don't think it will happen, Maria, Amélie or Kim will win wimbledon this year.

Lindsay will never win the french-no explanation needed

Justine's serve isn't good enough for grass but with Serena out, Venus' form still low, Lindsay injured and with her mental edge over Maria she could do it this year

Martina with an easy draw might win the french but there are a load of player that are better than her on the red stuff so it's a hard ask for her but of the three I would put her first to win all four

Lindsay Davenport

Justine and Martina could win there missing slam within the next 4 or 5 years...It won't be easy but I think they both will...I think Lindsay has accepted the fact that she will never win RG and it doesn't make her any less of a great player...They are all great champs, even w/o the career GS>P

Justine's made the Final and SF (twice) of Wimbledon and she's very focused on winning that last Slam. I think people are writing her off for reasons I don't understand.

Well it's really all up to Justine.
If she wants to win Wimbledon then she knows what to do.
You cannot all of a sudden start playing a grass court game one month in the year and expect the wins to come.
Lendl tried doing that and it surely didn't work for him.

She needs to do the things that got her to that final.
The lost of the muscle mass which she says caused her her nagging hamstring is gone.
That's a start.
There are two other things she needs to do to really give her a chance.

1) A first serve percentage in the 60s.
Playing from a defensive standpoint on grass just doesn't work so you need to make sure that your first mark on the ball (the serve) is one that gives you an advantage and not a disadvantage.

2) Just go all out.
The beautiful backhand of hers is what got her to that final against Venus and that backhand will get her back there.
She has more winners on the forehand but she does a better job of flattening shots out on the backhand which is important on grass.

Good points! I also think she might help herself by playing doubles or mixed, just in the slams, I think just being up at the net, staying aggressive, would be helpful to Justine's game. I know her reasons why not but I honestly think it would help.

I don't think Lindsay has accepted the fact that she will never win RG.
Her first tour wins came on clay.
The start of her even coming back to be a contender at these slams happened on clay (Amelia Island 2004).
She hasn't accepted it and that is one of the reasons why she is playing it this year.

She's fitter than ever before. She's been working on other parts of her game like her slice and even a drop shot.
With the draw so open, why not now?
All Lindsay needs to do is believe herself and to finish off points at net at every opportunity.
If she does that, I don't see why she can't do it.

Its probably a good bet to say that none of them will.
However I think Justin Henin has the best chance if her back holds out.
Martina has an outside outside chance for the french.
Unfortunately she should have won it twice before.
But its allways easier said than done no matter how great you are.
Lindsey Davenport has just about no chance to win Roland Garros.
However it's not impossible like walking on water.

I don't think Davenport has much of a chance. Hingis' prospects are better but still not great.

I think Justine will eventually win Wimbledon. She did make the final once and took Venus to a third set in said final. I really don't get why people think it is preposterous that she could win Wimbledon. Aside from last years debacle she has been pretty damn good at Wimbledon.

As much as I love Lindsay I would put my money on Justine to do the next career slam and Martina the one after that. I would love Lindsay to prove wrong.
