Martina Müller defeats Jill Craybas 1-6 6-2 6-2

I did not expect Müller to win against Craybas.

My 3 favorite players are: Patty Schnyder ~ Roger Federer ~ Martina Hingis

Other players: Belinda Bencic ~ Kim Clijsters ~ Timea Bacsinszky ~ Elena Dementieva ~ Stefanie Voegele ~ Anna Kournikova ~ Maria Sharapova ~ Vera Zvonareva ~ Daniela Hantuchova ~ Elena Bovina ~ Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova ~ Monica Seles ~ Jennifer Capriati ~ Serena and Venus Williams ~ Klara Koukalova

Martina has won Cagnes Sur Mer 75k challenger 2 weeks ago after fed cup, and she's good on clay when she gets all together...

Well done Martina!

Martina seems to regain form.

But Craybas was not so strong today I think as well...

Thank you for all these moments over the last years! Supported you until your final point!

OMG , first time I've seen Muller playing ................her service action looks soooooooooooooooo strange , good top spin backhand to get her back in the point quite a few times though . To sum up I'd say better shots for the clay than Jill's !!!

Martina playing in her 15th tournament of the year and we're barely into May lol...

I like Martina's work ethic and game, but I see her as a player who will always be around the 70-110 ranking. Does everything decently, very consistent, good footspeed, but no weapon whatsoever. You need a big shot of some kind or something that makes you stand out to progress to the next level, which I don't see her obtaining.

Furthemore, (and there's nothing wrong with this mind you), Martina wouldn't be near the top 100 if it weren't for the fact that she plays every fuckin week. 36 tournaments last year, and she's on track to break 40 this year. You're bound to get a good result at some point with that kind of schedule, and she ended up getting a very solid win over Jill today.

I was there.

Good win for Martina. Jill did nothing special (as always) so it was Martina's to win or lose.
She had moments of choking late in the 3rd (she choked heavily the day before in her doubles match against Jill/Castano). Not sure what would have happened if she had had to serve it out at 5-3.
