Anna-Lena Groenefeld (7) Opens Home Defense Against Clay Specialist Catalina Castano

I am a little nervous for Anna- Lena in this match. The Germans have not been performing well in the qualifying and main draw. Schruff did win and Muller is in a 3rd set with Craybas but we all know the hopes of the German people rest with Anna-Lena. She had some sort of injury and had to pull out of Warsaw or maybe she just wanted to properly prepare for Berlin. And a match against clay court specialist Castano is not exactly a gimme match

there are no true surface specialists in the WTA and Castano is, at best, just an ordinary player anywhere.. this will be just another listless match, with boring rallies

ALG should definitely win this but she can't afford a letdown or else Castano will take advantage.
