Wilson Launches Williams Sisters Racket

Wilson announced today that they are launching the new W line racket designed with the help of Venus and Serena. The rackets will hit retailers in July 2006 for $270.

Venus' racket is the "W5 Divine Iris" (White with chocolate and golden swirl inspired by 19th century artist Gustav Klimt).

Serena's racket is the "W3 Gypsy Rose" (Pink and Brown in accents inspired by her style icon Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton).

Divine Iris is pretty cool.. Implies some sort of circular object.. Like a racket

My thoughts exactly. Who does Wilson think will actually spend $270 for ANY tennis racquet, much less the W Line?

These rackets are special - you only have to use them once a year, they get hurt, then you can retire them to your closet !!
