Good news: Indonesia WILL come to Israel...

The reports in Israel media in the last hours are that it is now seems that Indonesia will come to Israel and they already asked about security, hotels and etc.
It is not official until the confirmation of the Indonesian government but it is positive sign for sport instead of Politics..

Indonesians may come for tennis
By FRANKIE SACHS

Despite making an official request to have its upcoming Fed Cup tie, scheduled to be played in Israel, moved to a neutral site, the Indonesian Tennis Federation is making plans to play in Ramat Hasharon.

Last month, Indonesia was drawn to face Israel in the World Group II playoffs on July 15-16, but immediately made it known that because the country did not have diplomatic relations with Israel, its tennis federation would not bring the team here.

However, on Sunday, the Israel Tennis Association revealed that it had received an e-mail signed by the secretary-general of the Indonesian Tennis Federation, Soebronto Laras, requesting information on security for his players.

"We have no diplomatic relation[s] with your country, so if we have to play in Israel, can you arrange that our team/players... enter and guarantee their security," Laras wrote.

ITA president Dr. Ian Froman, who received the e-mail from Laras, thanked him for contacting the ITA and responded that Israel would welcome the Indonesian side with open arms.

Froman said the ITA would take care of all security and transportation matters and put the visiting squad up in a five-star hotel.

The ITA is now awaiting a response from Laras.

Nice to see reason win over religious fanaticism!

If they actually do go to Israel, that is.

Bjrk
Imperious in victory. Never conceiving the possibility of defeat. The greatest of her era. The self-belief, that smile, backhand, muscles, serve, personality, all larger than life. There's no greater sight in women's tennis than watching Serena J. Williams go to work.
The others are Great, but Serena's the Greatest

So has anything actually changed? Because they were always willing to come and Israel were always willing to let them into the country. Has the goverment given any indictation that they'll let the team go to Israel

It's starting to look like they are looking for a way to say they can come..
But as I said, it's not sure yet.

The e-mail they sent is a good sign, that's all.
We'll just have to wait and see.
