What is going on with the Ukrainian Fed Cup team?

They are playing without their 8 best ranked players: Alona Bondarenko, Savchuk, Kutuzova, Fedak, Kateryna Bondarenko, Koryttseva, Vakulenko and Beygelzimer, and without a good player like Perebiynis. Instead they play with Antypina (ranked #204, who hasn't played since the Australian Open) and Valeria Bondarenko, ranked #945, who hasn't played in singles since last year.
Today they lost to the mighty Great Britain 3-0.

They could have a team that belongs in World Group, but now they might even fall out of Europe/Africa group I! What is happening?

Do you think maybe Ukraine are mad because of the new seeding system so much that this is their protest? they were suppose to be top group and because of the change they are second group.

Maybe they would write about that in the website http://www.tennis.com.ua/ or some Ukraine sports newspaper.

They don't even mention the Fed Cup there.
And why is the site in Russian?

So she's never playing Fed Cup or Olympics unless it's for Russia? What's the story with Vika anyway, did her family move to Ukraine or?

I think it is the same as with Polish team: our most possible squad will be: Agnieszka and Urszula Radwanska in singles and Jans/Rosolska in doubles. No Marta Domachowska, Joanna Sakowicz, Karolina Kosinska - Polish top 3. Sisters are strong now, but they would have no chance against most of the group 1 single players. Only our double team is the best what we have. Best players want to train and have more power for their individual goals - especially when it's not World Group.

Well I didn't think GB would do anything in this tie so I'd just like to say well done to them. They need something to be cheerful about.

Agnieszka Radwanska Vera Zvonareva • Laura Robson • Donna Vekic Heather WatsonElina Svitolina Melanie Oudin • Andrea Petkovic

I'm really pleased for the GBR girls. We could seriously come top in our pool me thinks.
