Don't worry Venus will be playing more than you think this year.

Not blind. Not uninformed. We are party to atrocities. But the response of the world after 9/11 is worth noting. Even our most dire enemies offered aid. We should all be so lucky.

This is the same player who said that she wanted to retire at 25 when she first started the tour.
Could she be contradicting herself? No. Not really.
Venus said she will play in London in 2012 and then retire in the same year.
She never said she was going to play a full schedule.
Venus can barely play a full schedule now, I doubt she will do any different 6 years from now.
Like Navritilova, all Venus will have to do is show up and the USTA will pick her for the Olympics.
Considering there is noone really there to step up to take Venus, Serena, Lindsay, and Capriati's place in the next 4-6 years, I dont see anything wrong with picking a 3-time Wimbledon Champion over someone like Alexa Glatch.
It doesnt seem that far-fetched of an idea that if Venus doesnt play Wimbledon then 2007 might be a different year whether this poster has a good source or not.
Unlike Serena, Venus isnt a player who can just come back from outside of the top 30 and beat anyone at anytime on any suface.

"Everybody always said I didn't get that job because my wife is white. If you're not strong enough to look through that then you have the issue."
-Charlie Strong, assistant head coach of the Florida Gators

Black presidents of the US=1
Black head coaches in the SEC=0
Something needs to change.
