and he just wiped the floor with Federer's ass. So put a sock in it. Top players are top players, it doesnt have anything to do with the "depth of the game" You could be like a Hingis and miss a few years or like Nadal who has missed months. Top players perform.

I love Maria Kirilenko because I love her. thank you.

I don't consider that score line moping the floor with anyone, maybe if he got beat 6-2 6-2 then maybe.

Also Nadal was not out for 3 years only a few months..

19. In the period from January to April 2006 Dr. Skalny sent very detailed messages to Ms Sharapova [...]: “Mildronate 1-2 X 10, repeat in 2 wks (before training or competition)”; “1 hr before competition, 2 pills of Mildronate”; “During games of special importance, you can increase your Mildronate dose to 3-4 pills (1 hr before the match). However, it is necessary to consult me on all these matters (please call)”; “30 minutes prior to a training session: Mildronat – 1 Capsule. 30-45 minutes prior to a tournament Mildronat 2 capsules”.

If Roger went away for 3 years and continued to remain in the game in a sim. capacity to what Hingis did-- I would not be surprised if her came out beating players in the 10+ rankings range. Talent never goes away-- and talents helps these two players win 90% of their matches.

Yeah, he played very well. Only when playing near his almost impossible best did Fed have a clear edge over him. Actually, I wasn't that surprised. I don't think the workaday Fed performance, mixing 60% brilliance with 40% inconsistency (like he did with Youzhny the day before) is enough to deal with an in-form Nadal.

Hingis is a different matter. She's been away for much longer, and even though her immense talent and court sense are still there, the game meanwhile has changed; there already was power in her day, but in 2006 power is much more widespread. Players ranked 10-50 for the most have big guns; players ranked in the top 10 all have big guns and a measure of consistency. Right now, it isn't the artillery that makes the difference (in general and vs Hingis), since most players have it; it's consistency. Hingis has the consistency, but not the artillery needed to force a decision, so all she can do when playing top opponents is to dig in and wait for the best (i.e. for her opponent to self-destruct). If her opponent is having a good day in terms of consistency, she's pretty much done for.
