Who is the best British player?? Anne or Bally???

I think this is a really tough question because Elena has better one-off results but Anne is so much for consistant. Elena has a massive serve and Anne has a big forehand.

Elena's best ranking is 118 and Anne's is 140 but she did get a serious injury.

so who is the best??

Bally...

but still, UK really needs a top player

This can't last. This misery can't last. I must remember that and try to control myself. Nothing lasts really. Neither happiness nor despair. Not even life lasts very long. There'll come a time in the future when I shan't mind about this anymore, when I can look back and say quite peacefully and cheerfully how silly I was. No, no, I don't want that time to come ever. I want to remember every minute, always, always to the end of my days.

Bally without a doubt. I personally think that she should be doing much better with her talent but she isn't coached properly

I voted for Keothavong because she is playing much better this year, and I think she'll better her highest rank of 140 by the end of the year.

That said, I do believe that Baltacha is the most talented British player, I remember seeing her against Capriati in Wimbledon a couple years ago, and she lost a close match 64 64, and Capriati played very well actually, much better than you I'm sure she expected to have to play against such a low ranked player.

i think bally is capable of playing at a higher level than anne but also a much lower level. i wish elena could be more consistent, she has such a good serve and decent groundies but rarely puts it all together.

anne seems to be playing well at the moment, hopefully they can both have some success on the main tour, bally came close to qualifying the past couple of weeks but just hasnt been able to win the final match.
