She won 0 and 0 once against her, so I think she has. Her GF might have been hard, but Sharapova wasn't really convincing on her serve either. If Maria serves vrappy and Lindsay finds the form she had vs. Likki she will have a more than good chance.

They may not be the most athletic on tour but both women have worked hard on their fitness. It will be a tough match!

RIP Elena Baltacha, thank you for dedicating your life to a sport we all love. You'll be missed but never forgotten.

You simply cannot be as athetic at Lindsay's height as you can be at i.e. JHH'S height IMO... And I think they both are at their maximum fitness-wise.

I would say Maria has a lil advantage because she is younger and on paper she should be able to recover quicker

Of course she has a chance, it's going to be tough for both of them having played a match already today though

It's probably going to depend on serve, which means Maria will have to serve ALOT better if she's going to beat Lindsay. I think she will improve her serve but whether she'll improve it by enough?

It's going to be close for sure - no double bagles this time for Linzi neither Masha but a three setter like in all the other matches between this pair. Serve remains the key factor in this type of matchups where 2 tall, big hitters fight to get the advantage in the points firt or as fast as possible - obviously faster than the opponent
I want to see that match but it's raining in the Emirates on this what they call "desert"

Have we been watching the same Lindsay over the last 2 years even. Not athletic yeah I'll give you that but not fit that's a joke she the fittest she's been in years and if the Lindsay v Maria comes down to a matter of fitness I'll put my money on Lindsay. Lindsay won't lose a match on count of fitness anytime soon.
