Myskina is almost a top ten player. Martina's shown that she's a top player now. No doubt.

Well done, Martina

Too bad she had run out of gas after beating sharapova in Tokyo...

Quote:
19. In the period from January to April 2006 Dr. Skalny sent very detailed messages to Ms Sharapova [...]: “Mildronate 1-2 X 10, repeat in 2 wks (before training or competition)”; “1 hr before competition, 2 pills of Mildronate”; “During games of special importance, you can increase your Mildronate dose to 3-4 pills (1 hr before the match). However, it is necessary to consult me on all these matters (please call)”; “30 minutes prior to a training session: Mildronat – 1 Capsule. 30-45 minutes prior to a tournament Mildronat 2 capsules”.

congratulation Martina

Nasty

Something was bound to go right sometime today, All these broken pieces fit together to make a perfect picture of us
It got cold and then dark so suddenly and rained, It rained so hard the two of us were the only thing
That we could see for miles and miles
And in the middle of the flood I felt my worth, When you held onto me like I was your little life raft
Please know that you were mine as well
Drops of water hit the ground like God's own tears
And spread out into shapes like Salad bowls and basins and buckets for bailing out the flood

Martina

The woods are hopeless. Don't waste your time, they will be destroyed. So will the marsh. It is a losing game mankind has played for more than a century. Sadness is what you are, do not deny it. The universe is a lonely place, a painful place. This is what we can share between us, period.

Nice performance from Martina, she was't at her best but did enough to beat Anastacia. I think Myskina was kinda patchy, she had good spells where she competed well with Martina but also hit too many balls into the net. I guess they were forced in a way though, with Martina pressurising her to hit winners.

Anyway, I hope Maria wins tonight so we can see a repeat of the Tokyo semi
