Choko needs to concentrate on winning a slam without her opponents retiring and actually closing out the big matches before she talks about stuff like this.

What's going to happen when she meets on Justine at Roland Garros in the late stages of the tournament or Serena at Wimbledon in the crucial late stages of the tournament?

The last match she had to close out at Oz was against an even bigger headcase Patty in the quarter finals. I'm still not convinced.

She can win at all four Slams - no doubt about it but all in one year - I can't see it happening. She's definately right to set herself goals though - I think anybody who has won the Australian is talked about as if the Grand Slam could be on for them - it's just normal.

RIP Elena Baltacha, thank you for dedicating your life to a sport we all love. You'll be missed but never forgotten.

The only late stages she'd meet Serena at these days is at a nightclub, party or premier!

I hesitated to post this article,I didn't want to create a bomb over Mauresmo's head! She cannot control herself anymore,it's open suff, she says everything she thinks and she has in her head, without any reflection! She doesn't realise how pretencious she seems by saying this kind of things! She's crazy!C'est une ouf Amélie, elle va s'en prendre plein la tronche!(sorry I don't know how to say that in english but in 4 words;she's gonna suffer)

Well, she's definitely overestimating herself, but it's a better way of thinking than before.
Anyway, Justine will bring her back to earth if they both meet in the semis.

Yep but we're talking about Mauresmo not about Serena Williams(before her ass became more famous than herself...

She sounded almost a li'l bit arrogant in that interview - to the extent that I could translate what she was saying. I think this is a good thing right now. Go and kick ass, Momo!

Linnie posted the english article in another thread. I'm posting it here for those who prefer the english version.

http://today.reuters.co.uk/news/news...40_l18786346:1

About 2 years ago, Amélie said her goal was to win a GS and get the number 1 place... Yeah, well, the GS talk lasted until last January as we all know, but the number 1 made me smile back then more than the GS (I always thought she'd win one some day). So 2 years ago I gave the same smile when I read her words and back in my mind I thought "Nahhh"... she became number 1 that september and I had to eat my hat. I don't mind doing it again.

Merci Amélie!

She doesn't sound arrogant in the French. She says to win RG would be the pinnacle for a Frenchwoman, but she wants to win all four.
She doesn't say "I will do it" just " I want to do it"

Is she supposed to not want to win?

She's been the best player since November. She could lose to anyone at the French, but if she can play well, she can beat anyone on clay either. She's been very close to the Wimbledon title for 2 or 3 years now. It would be incredibly surprising of course for her to win all four in one year but it's not ridiculous.

If she keeps this recent good play up,with a bit of good luck with draws etc, I can't see any reason why this isn't possible for Momo. Good luck to her!

I'd love Mary to win RG though
