Tennis Tipping: (S) ITF Toronto | (D) Dalian (w/ Nottheone), ITF Bendigo (w/ Randy)

Nothing that a head transplant can't fix.

Or Patty could get a head transplant from Justine, so she could be mentally tough. But then her "illness" would still be there.

And Patty won't probably play Miami
She wants to focus on the Clay season.
Her goal now is a GC and that's all.
She seems doesn't care anymore about the rankings
For me, that sounds like a retirement for the end of the year or next year

Patty Plays Miami if for no other reason than it being mandatory for anyone who ranks high enough. And I still think she might take a WC for Doha when someone inevitably withdraws. In terms of retirement, she's mentioned it as being not too far off since late '04, so she indeed might after (lets say '07).

You Schnyder fans are almost as weird as the player you worship.

This withdrawal sucks. I was eagerly awaiting a Hingis vs Schnyder match, with Peppermint Patty crushing Chucky and proving once and for all who has the most touch and shot variety on the Tour.

This sounds quaint, considering the tournament hog Schnyder is, second only to Petrova (and maybe Hantuchova).

funny i get a very different impression in regards to retirement - i see Patty playing well into her 30s. I know she's stated otherwise a while ago but she's one of the fitter girls on tour generally - wouldn't be bad to go out while playing well still but i think she's still got quite a bit of motivation to play.

I'm quite shocked JR that you think Patty would have any say on this issue. Surely Rainer wouldn't let his "cash cow" go when there's still plenty of money to made

I think Patty still cares about her ranking but she also know that she's got a tier I win buffer over Venus at number 10.

I also would not be surprised to see her in Doha because she's doesn't play Indian Wells so it's going to be a long break if she's waiting until Miami. And we know Patty doesn't like long breaks - i suspect because she has to spend too much time with Rainer

What's that supposed to mean? I'm not weird.

At least she is playing, and not doing some fashion show and hanging out with bisexual Rap stars.
