Venus and Antwerp

I can't remember what the winning streak to win the diamond racket has to be - 3 out of 5 or 3 in a row?

Anyway, as Venus had 2 titles here, she's missed out by not playing. Anyone know why V didn't play this time?

The first player to win the tournament three times in any five-year period gets to keep the trophy. Kim Clijsters ('04) and Amelie Mauresmo ('05) are currently on the clock.
