LOL i hate pierce for that but this is working well for me to focus...before serve..I tap the ball serveral times with the racket(on ground)..then look at opponent again tap it once or twice...Then again look at opponent and then take my stance and then serve...

I'm pretty slow. I play with my dad a lot in the Summer and he gets pretty annoyed.

There should be a choice in the middle

I would say I play at a medium pace but when I get nervous I tend to speed way up (kind of like Capriati) but that's something I'm trying to work on.

I'm pretty slow, I take my time. This really helps in high school tennis where a lot of the guys are always really impatient to start the points

Depends on the kind of match. Usually Im quick unless its a tough match, then I take my time. If Im struggling, Im slow but if doing well in a tough match, I try to go quciker to keep up momentum. When Im dominating and bored, I go like lightning.

I have a deliberate routine that takes a bit of time in between the points so some people get annoyed. But when i get nervous it speeds up which is bad.

I don't waste much time, I just take a breath, think where it's going to go, toss, and hit.

So true.

I will never understand the people who speed up when they're nervous. Usually, when I'm nervous, there is so much going through my head that I'm not prepared to serve right away so my slow preparation is good.
