Where is Monique Viele??

I know that this question may sound annoying to some people (and I guess some newcomers may even don't know who she is), but I really want to know what's happened to her...

I just read an old news (about 6,7year ago) about her this morning on the internet and it's about the case that her parents wanted to sue WTA for not letting Viele to participate in any major tournament because she it not over 14. I knew that she made her debut in Tokyo and lost rather badly. SAnd it seems that she has never played in the tournaments of WTA level again.

What's happened to her?? I searched over the net and just find some news about her till 2002. I really want to now why she quits tennis, I think she must face tons of problems (family? injury?), otherwise it's hard to such a talented (really?) girl to retire....

Please tell me and thanks in advance!!

Monique Viele gets slated for all the things she said as a 14 year old about how she was going to be #1 etc. I'd hate to think that I would be judged for years to come by the things I said at that age.

Anyway she played one WTA match in Tokyo, lost it 6-3 6-1 to Jane Chi. However, she was capable of winning matches at $10K events until she developed chronic wrist injuries from which she never recovered. Her father also passed away ( from cancer I believe ) whilst she was battling these injuries and she eventually gave up. She must have had some sort of ability as Billie Jean King was a public admirer who got her a qualifying wild card for Oklahoma qualies a few years back, but Monique missed sign in.

I've never heard anything before about Monique Viele in pornography...Is there any kind of source to back that?

From what I knew, her departure from tennis was as mentioned, partly due to the passing of her father which had a very large impact on her entire family, and also the fact that she had serious torn ligaments in both of her wrists which she has not been able to recover from in order to play professional tennis. I believe she is living in Arizona, and has ventured into a few different things (real estate being one of them), but also has a passion for singing and has continued to pursue that. Whether or not it will pan out for her, I have no idea as I've not heard her singing before, but for all she's been through at such a young age I do hope that she can find a career that works for her and succeed.

"Religion has actually convinced people that there is an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. Any if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!

But he loves you."

She had to retire from tennis due to torn ligaments in both wrists.

She blogs at http://www.myspace.com/daddysgal83

Viele was somewhat promising young talent, however her parents overhyped her beyond all comprehension and when she predictably failed fulfill all the hyping, she became somewhat of a running joke of women's tennis.

You should have seen her old website - she was sold as an uber-talent who is not only superior tennis player, but also a model/sex symbol and singer - Serena, Kournikova and Britney Spears all rolled into one; this all when she was 16 or so.

I remember reading about Monique in a German tennis magazine in 1999 (okay, maybe I couldn't exactly understand all of it... I MUST get better - fluent! - German one day... ). I certainly remember all the hype.

I really wish her well in her future. Good luck, Monique.

So long, signature...
