Never heard of the guy. Oh well, Lindsay really can't do too much more to improve her game, she just needs to be mentall focused 100% of the time. Hopefully this guy can help her with that.

Lordie, lordie. My girl does go through coaches. If Lindsay can learn to run and believe, she is unstoppable. Otherwise no coach in the world will get her any closer to a grand slam title. She could pull a "tanya harding" and have someone take out Venus and Serena (the two players who stood between her and the title last year!)

Well Lindsay doesn't need someone to change her game just someone to scout matches and being a hitting partner. There also has to be a personality match in there too. Brad Gilbert was never in he mix but it would have interesting just the same. I hope the change brings one thing and that one last slam or two or three or four.

Hmm. They should work on the mental side. That's it but it's up to Lindsay. Her game can take out anyone. It's that fighting spirit that needs to be revived.

Didn't Monica work with him for a while? His name sounds familiar.

Lindsay had the same coach for seven years full time and three years part time before that and I'm talking about robert Van't Hof. She just hasn't been able to keep a coach for very long since. Since it seemed not to working with Adam a change might do her some good and bring her that last slam title and gearing for the slam next year isn't going to do any harm either.

It's hard for Lindsay. It really takes a lot out of Lindsay to muster up the ability to run. If she could just move like she moves in the video games that she's in, even that would be enough. By the way, Lindsay should be slower in those games to make them more realistic. There's absolutely no way Lindsay moves better than Kim Clijsters.
Lindsay doesn't need to take Venus and Serena out persay.
Just continue to tell Serena she looks good when obviously she's a bit overweight and tell Venus that her hair weave looks good when it doesn't.
The best Lindsay can hope for with Venus is that she chokes herself with that usually awful weave of hers.

From what i know, Dave DiLucia is much more of a hard-ass than Adam Peterson who was pretty mellow (and very likable). It's possible that DiLucia, who was a Top 150 ATP player for several years in the 90s, is going to be able to bust Lindsay's ass into shape.

That's what she needs, a no bullshit coach who isn't afraid to let her have it. Bravo.

not sure what Serena's weight and Venus' weave have to do with anything, but if that all you got. . .that's all you got.
I like Lindsay and I want her to do well and even get another slam, but she has got to run and she has got to believe! Venus can run and is starting to believe and Serena maynot be able to run as well, but boy does she believe.

It's not about movement. It's about her attitude and belief.

The only thing lacking in Lindsay's game is that fight. She needs to make more of a nuisance of herself on the court - grit her teeth and duke it out when the chips are down. Her game can't really be improved much and her movement is as good as its going to get. Lindsay Davenport has never been a mover. In fact she's slimmer now than she when she won the US Open. So basically - it's all mental with Lindsay

Мари́я Ю́рьевна Шара́пова , Јелена Јанковић, Venus Williams.
