"I always served to her forehand...I kept doing the same stupid things"

More than 12 hours before Venus/Martina match i pleaded with Marti's fans to send messages to Martina to bring all her "smartness" and 'A' game because she would be playing the #1 player in the world (Gosh, Martina has not retired yet j/k!).

I was also confident that her mum would give her good advice and they would come up with an astute strategy.

Now, it seems to me that she knows exactly what she wants to do but keep doing the opposite. It could nerves or she was psyched out.

Was she taking the advice of some commentators to play to Vee's forehand since it is dubbed to be her weakest shot?
Maybe she just freezes in the presence of the QUEEN? If that's the case, i don't blame her, i mean i have to bow every time i mentioned her name (::bowing graciously:

Marti's fans please help me here, what happened??????

Serving to her forehand was the thing to do, just not at 40 mph!

Beat'em down Ms Williams, beat'em down!

Victoria Duval - coming to a slam near you
Françoise Abanda definitely a future #1 --- Taylor Townsend devastation on the march
Venus and Serena ferocious grannies --- Kimiko Date Krumm great granny still doing her thing.

Wow 40mph!!!!
Did she believe the speed radar was faulty?
Maybe she did actually froze????

Tennis is fun, especially when your fav is ruling. Damn, it's still fun when your fav keeps losing. Not just the same kinda fun!!!! The word "hope" because the most used word in one's vocabulary!

::bowing again to the ONE::

Wink Weeeeeelllllllllllllllll...

Hi ot1962,

Didn't see the match, but several posters stated that Ms Vee was mixing it up well with Hingis, who, they say, was playing well herself. Another poster said Venus' serve was a little off, and that she doubled-faulted alot, however, first set stats had Venus with fewer errors than Martina.

Well, since "clay" is Venus' WORST surface ( ), I won't count too much on her appearance at Roland Garros.

Goooooooooo VeeeeeNUS
