14 Year Old Canadian wins ITF Title

14 year old Sharon Fichman won her first ITF title this week at Ashkelon, as a qualifier. She didn't drop a set en route to her victory, and had some impressive 6-0 6-0 and 6-0 6-1 scorelines.

Could she be the new Canadian hope?

She's a very smart player already, and she's got a very mature and positive attitude on the court. A lot of determination and within a matter of months from the first and the most recent times I've seen her she's already shown solid improvement and an ability to make the necessary adjustments in terms of being more aggressive particularly at this level. She's still quite small, but if she can build her game more and make her weapons a more consistent element in her game I think she has a shot. She's also a very impressive doubles player, which is rare to see from young players these days.

"Religion has actually convinced people that there is an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. Any if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!

But he loves you."

She's played doubles 3 times with Jade Curtis.

Not very interesting but it's information nonetheless...

a canadian triathlete made an "alliyah" this week.
I suppose the israeli tennis federation are planning on stealing sharon as well.
of course - they won't do it now so that they have to fund her - no, no - sick greedy fucks.
they will wait untill she has proved herself worthy enough in thier eyes.
i hate the "money over people" concept here in israel.
i simply HAVE to go to sweden or something.

if you have nothing important to say, please do so in non-tennis forum. if you have something you think is important, but is actually rubbish regarding anything other than tennis - please do so in the non-tennis forum. if you have something tennis related to say, but it's actually "OMG, X player is so h0t!1" or "who has the biggest boobs on the wtatour" please do so in menstennisforum, under "wta forum". if you have something important, tennis-related and interesting to say please do so. No one in the world can understand how much tennis means to someone, except another fan.

I hate this girl. I saw her at the Rogers Cup and she thought she was the best thing since sliced bread. She wore a skimpy outfit and she was still only 14. I didn't like her one bit.

Let them eat cake.

I thought the exact same thing when I saw her. But then the first time I talked to her, she seemed really down to earth, and the second time I talked to her, she was very nice.

She has a lot of talent, and I really do believe that she is capeable of big things.

I keep letting you back in....How can I explain myself...

The toronto area was putting so much pressure on Sharon that week!

I had the chance to meet sharon and talk a lil ,take a picture, she was really sweet. And then, we she saw me or my friend on the grouds for all the week, she would smile, wave and say hi to us.
